Cheryl dreamed of becoming a movie star from an early age, she took tap lessons and sang at home with her dad. In high school, she played in a jazz trio, ‘Music Shop Band’, which travelled from the Midwest to California, to try and make it professionally. When the group broke up, Ladd decided to continue her dream. Her first real gig was singing backup on the cartoon show, ‘Josie and the Pussycats’. Her first big role was in, ‘Jamaica Reef’, where she met her first husband. They married in 1973, two years later their daughter, Jordan was born. The marriage lasted six years. In 1977, she was scouted by ‘Charlie’s Angels’ producer Aaron Spelling to replace Farrah Fawcett. Ladd was a hit as the angel Kris Munroe. “She had to fill a big pair of shoes, and she did it with confidence,” said co-star Jaclyn Smith. Cheryl starred in ‘Permanent Midnight’, and played the mother in the family drama ‘A Dog of Flanders’.

She starred in the TV series ‘Las Vegas’ before making appearances in, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service’, and ‘Chuck’ in 2011. In films, she has acted in ‘Her Best Friend’s Husband’, ‘Eve’s Christmas’, ‘Though None Go With Me’, ‘Baggage’ and ‘Love’s Resounding Courage’. Ladd in now married to Bryan Russell and resides in Los Angeles, California.
