Cybill Shepherd was named Miss Teenage Memphis and attended New York University. Shepherd made her critically acclaimed film debut in, ‘The Last Picture Show’ followed by, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’, and ‘Taxi Driver’. She played opposite Bruce Willis in the detective comedy series, ‘Moonlighting’.
After 1979 Shepherd disappeared from the big screen for more than a decade, shifting her career focus to the small screen. From 1995 to 1998, she produced and starred in a loosely autobiographical CBS sitcom about a has-been actress called Cybill. Shepherd has also starred as Martha Stewart in two TV movies. She published her memoirs, ‘Cybill Disobedience’ in 2000. She currently plays Jennifer Love Hewitt’s TV mother on, ‘The Client List’. Shepherd was married to David Ford from 1978-1982, they have one child. She was married to Bruce Oppenheim from 1987-1990, they have two children.
