He is an American actor, director, producer, and activist.
In 1971, he married Kaija Keel and had two children with her; Bodie and Mico, before divorcing in 1992.
He also has has four adopted children; Daniela, Michael, Brandon, and Tamiko. He married actress Lorraine Brace in 1994; but she filed for divorce in January 2002 after years of separation.
Olmos also had a long term relationship with actress Lymari Nadal. They married in 2002, and separated in 2013.
