Mastroianni is best known for his role as the rebellious Joey Jeremiah on Degrassi Junior High, which aired from 1987-1992. He won a Gemini award in 1988 for his role.
After Degrassi Junior High, Mastroianni worked for his father’s construction business for a number of years. He once again played Joey Jeremiah when Degrassi: The Next Generation aired in 2001. He continued his role for 5 seasons before announcing he was retiring from playing Joey Jeremiah in order to advance his acting career on other projects.
