Edwards has been professionally acting since 1963 but is known for the role of Corabeth Walton Godsey, the wife of storekeeper Ike Godsey.
She has recently put out a memoir entitled ‘The Knife Thrower’s Assistant’ in which she recalls her vast, often quirky career experiences. Edwards now lives in a converted church in Dallas, Texas.
