Ruth Buzzi starred in Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, played Marlo Thomas’s best friend in That Girl, played 7 years on Sesame Street, made some Disney movies like Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again, Freaky Friday, and North Avenue Irregulars, received 5 career Emmy nom’s, and won the Golden Globe award for best performer in a comedy tv series in 1970 for her performances on Laugh In.
Married for 25 years to a businessman in Los Angeles, she is currently in a recurring role on PASSIONS an NBC soap, makes a few personal appearances and does comedy shows 3 or 4 times a year, but mostly keeps house in Texas and LA and enjoys sewing, cooking, and collecting cars with her husband. One of her Rolls Royce’s is now on display at the Petersen Automobile Museum in LA, and she owns more than a dozen Rolls and Bentley cars. She does charity work and appears free of charge for charity events nationwide, and her favorite charities are childrens’ causes, like Make a Wish, Special Olympics and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
