“Sho Kosugi rode the 80’s ninja craze to stardom in aptly named movies like Enter the Ninja, Revenge of the Ninja, Ninja III: The Domination, 9 Deaths of the Ninja, well, you get the idea. But after the ninja craze died, Kosugi vanished from the martial arts scene, much like the lone ninja characters he portrayed.” –James Hom
“Kosugi reemerged briefly in 1996 to capitalize on yet another martial arts craze: martial arts as aerobics. “Ninjaerobics” had all the elements of a successful aerobics TV show: great locations (the show would travel to famed martial arts sites around the world), plenty of spandex-clad, super-fit models, and star power (Kosugi himself). Unfortunately, the show never took off, and Kosugi disappeared back again into the ether.” –James Hom

I remember sensei Kosugi back in mid seventies when he had his dojo on Valley Blvd..his sons Kane and Shane practicing karate, they were sooo small……ahhhhh the memories
WHERE IS SHO KOSUGI NOW AND TODAY
Sho Kosugi is my martial arts hero next to Bruce Lee. Growing up I must admit that I was a bit immature to learn Chinese was of martial arts. Sho Kosugi gave me that push start that I needed. I started off learning Japanese way of fighting. As I grew up I’ve learned other styles but then resort back to Kosugi. Its funny….Kane Kosugi and I are the same age and became my motivation. You all remember 9 deaths of a ninja, revenge of the ninja and Pray for Death. Again Sho Kosugi is my Martial arts hero.
SHO KOSUGI I WILL SAY IS THE ULTIMATE NINJA AT ALL TIMES.I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIS MOVIES SO MUCH THAT THERE WAS NOTHING I WOULDNT DO TO GET HOLD OF HIS MOVIES.WATCHED HIS MOVIE PRAY FOR DEATH AT THE AGE OF EIGHT AND EVE SINCE IVE NOT STOPPED.HE DISPLAYS UNMATCHABLE SKILLS WHICH I”M YET TO SEE HIS MATCHING SHORT,HE IS TOO MUCH.
IM ONE OF THE DIEHARD FAN OF THE NINJA STORIES GENRE…….. ONE OF MY HEROES GROWING UP IS THE “ULTIMATE NINJA” OF THEM ALL……..MR. SHO KOSUGI……
EVEN TODAY, NO ONE MATCHES THE “MASTER.” I THOUGHT THAT HE DIED ALREADY FROM HEART ATTCK OR WHAT…. BUT, TO MY SURPRISE…… THERE HE IS…… ALIVE!!!! AS I WAS WATCHING THIS FILM…… AGAIN COMPARING IT TO THE PREVIOUS FILMS ABOUT NINJAS…… I CAME TO SEE THIS CHARACTER IN THIS MOVIE…. THE PARTRIACH OF THIS NINJA CLAN……PAUSED IT…. AND BEHOLD!!! SHO KOSUGI IN “NINJA ASSASIN” starred in by RAIN…
