(By Request): “I am curious what ever happened to Suzanne Fellini.
She was a singer who put out an album in 1980 called “Suzanne Fellini” It was on Casablanca Records. The big hit from the album was Love on the Phone. I thought the rest of the album was good also.
Apparently this was her only album. Just wondering if she got married & had kids, etc., or what. Hope she didn’t die. Do you have any suggestion as to a source where I might find out. Thanks very much. Max Perry, Vacaville, Calif.”
There is very little information on Fellini. It seems she teaches a course in Musical Melody at PS166 a.k.a The Richard Rogers School of Arts and Technology in Manhattan.

In 1980 I was living in a basement apartment in Park Slope, Brooklyn, partying way too hard and hearing Love on the Phone on WNEW FM all the time (lots of air play). It was a good, happy time to live in NYC and her song typified that zeitgeist. Almost four decades and 3000 miles later something made me start thinking of long forgotten songs from that era in my past and this one kept creeping into my consciousness. Couldn’t find it on iTunes. Finally googled the lyrics and abracadabra! YouTube videos and all. Bought the album on line and her other songs didn’t disappoint. Glad to hear she’s alive and well. Sorry I never went to see her at any clubs when I had the chance. I’d love to see her return to performing, but sadly I suspect that chapter’s over. At least I have the album.
Suzanne was a friend and neighbor when we were young and living in forest hills queens. Such a beauty! I will always r e member her. Cris now in Texas
She is indeed alive and well. I had a major ‘thing’ with her before she made her album… we were both very into each other, but for some strange reason that I still cannot really remember, we never did follow that attraction up. I can tell you that she was a very nice woman, beautiful, talented… and probably should have been a bigger star.
It’s true that Suzanne is still a teacher at P.S. 166 in manhattan’s upper west side and I agree with the previous posting that she is a nice person. She is a widdow and has one child: a beautiful little girl who is now a teenager and a dancer/performer herself. I was so surprised to see her YouTube video and could never have guessed that a teacher from my son’s school was once a performer. AND WHAT A SONG! :-0
I attended Hunter College in NYC with Suzanne in the 90’s she graduated in 1998 with a degree in education. She was a great friend was a single mom to a beautiful little girl, and could sing just as fab as she did on her album. We talked a lot about those days. She worked singing here and there and moved to the Upper West Side of NYC after college and got a teaching job and I think she may have married an attorney that she was dating. I miss her and would love to find her again, maybe on facebook. She had trauma over her album because of a crooked manager who bilked her for money. She came from a wealthy upper East Side family and lived in the Village while attending Hunter. We kept in touch for a few years after collage then lost touch. She is a fabulous person and wonderfully talented artist.
