Tammy Faye Bakker married to Jim Bakker and co-host of the Praise The Lord ministry’s television show, which was found to have fleeced some 115,000 followers for about $65 million USD in the late 80’s.
She divorced Jim in 1992 while he was still being used for currency in the prison system and married his close friend Roe Messner. They live in Charlotte, North Carolina with a pair of puppies named Muffin and Tuppins and a cat named Tinkerbell. She has authored numerous books, most recently I Will Survive… And You Will, Too! and still ministers churches, around the USA. Update Mar/28/04: Tammy Faye Messner appears on Larry King Live and announces she has inoperable lung cancer.

Tammy, Tammy, Tammy’s in love….with money. When asked to do something Christian Tammy passed a plate around while holding a Visa card Receipt Zipper machine, quickly graduating to a Deuce and half Pantech Truck she loaded the cash into with a Bobcat. Her Christian charity new no bounds. Kind of like Imelda Marcos’ shoe collection.
Don’t blame God though, Tammy n’ Jim did it all by themselves, passing the plate on to such wonderful people as “Pastor Dollar” (really, do they?) and that thing that looks like a female version of the Joker. The one that looks like she’s had so much plastic surgery she has a knot the size of a baseball on the back of her nut; they end up building sucker flocks so huge the Auditoriums they build and call Churches make the Coliseum look like a broom closet. I don’t know about you guys, but I just can’t feel love when the woman telling me how much God will love me for sending money looks like she could give the kiss of life to a Blue whale, or could sing Supa calla fraja listic and not miss a note with a Bowling ball in her mouth.
My poor mom ,rest her soul, gave those baker thieves much of her social security money. if Jim Baker is still free to cheat and rob more people he shouldn’t be , child molesters are not allowed to be near a school etc. So why would he be allowed in a church???? Good Greef DAVE
At age 65, after 11 years of battling cancer, she died.
