Carolyn Jones was the queen of creepy because of her portrayal of Morticia in, ‘The Addams Family’. Despite the show’s remakes Jones will always be remembered as the original Morticia Addams. She received a Golden Globe for her performance in the show.
After the, ‘The Addams Family’ Jones guest-starred on the 1960’s TV series Batman playing Marsha the Queen of Diamonds,and in 1976 appeared as Hippolyta on the Wonder Woman TV series. Her last role was as Myrna the scheming matriarch of the Clegg Clan in the soap opera,’Capitol’. On August 23rd at the age of 53 Carolyn passed away from colon cancer in Hollywood, California.
