Amanda Stepto played the role of Christine “Spike” Nelson on Degrassi Junior High from 1987 – 1989.
Since Degrassi Junior High, Stepto has taught English in Japan, and earned degrees in both political science and history from the University of Toronto. She also appeared in Degrassi: The Next Generation for numerous seasons where her on-show daughter Emma, was the main character. Additionally, she is now a DJ in Toronto.
