Poison is an American rock band which achieved commercial success in the mid-1980s through the mid-1990s and has sold over 45 million records. The band has charted ten singles in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, including six Top 10 singles and the Hot 100 number-one, “Every Rose HAs Its Thorn”. The band’s breakthrough debut album, the multi-platinum Look What the Cat Dragged In, was released in 1986, followed by Open Up and Say…Ahh!, which was certified 5× platinum in the US. Their third consecutive multi-platinum selling album was Flesh & Blood.

What happened to: Bret Michaels Rikki Rockett Bobby Dall C.C. DeVille, etc.

They have been active since its forming in 1983 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Poison promoted themselves up and made the rounds performing in the famous local clubs. During the 1980’s to 90’s, Poison’s manager negotiated a deal under which the West Hollywood club,  The Troubadour would pay for shows. At this time, Smith, who was about to become a father and was concerned about the band’s future, left the band to return home to Pennsylvania.  Although Michaels and Dall did not initially get along with him, the band eventually agreed that DeVille’s “fire” made him the best choice. In 2018, Poison headlined the “Nothing But A Good Time Tour” with special guests Cheap Trick and Pop Evil. The tour started May 18 and ended July 1.
