The Motor City Madman,Wango Tango, Cat Scratch Fever, seemingly savage guitar hero who is actually clean living and conservative. A man I could always respect. See the allmusic.com link for a good bio.

What happened to:

Did the short lived “supergroup” thing (*groan*) Damn Yankees in 1990 but was back to his solo career by 1995. He continued to play, opening for Kiss on their Farewell Tour in 2000 and released Full Bluntal Nugity in 2001.

He is also active outside music, a staunch conservative, or perhaps more accurately a libertarian? He has hosted a radio show in his native Detroit, produced a series of instructional hunting videos, sits on the Board of Directors to the National Rifle Association.

He has written several books, including his autobiography God, Guns & Rock’N’Roll , Kill It & Grill It: A Guide to Preparing and Cooking Wild Game and Fish which he co-authored with his wife Shemane Nugent and Executive Rock : A Fan’s Perspective on the Evolution of Popular Music Since 1950 . (His wife Shemane has also written Married to a Rock Star )

Last but not least, has his own brand of Beef Jerky called Gonzo Meat Biltong.
Jan/04: Ted hops on the “reality” TV bandwagon, doing Surviving Ted: The Ted Commandments for VH1 where contestants attempt to live in “survival mode” on one of his ranches. He almost didn’t survive himself, having cut himself open with a chainsaw during the making of the show. 40 stitches required.
